2.3. Component subsystems of the enterprise system

If the enterprise is analysed from the point of view of the management, then the enterprise system consists of the leading and led subsystems (Figure 4.2).

 Fig. 4.2. Enterprise system analysis

The leading subsystem is structured in strategic leadership, tactical leadership and operational leadership to achieve leadership functions (prediction, organization, coordination, command and control). The achievement of leadership functions involves a set of intellectual, technical and economic-financial methods and processes through which decision (command) turns into action.

The led subsystem is composed of: workplace, workshop, section, functional compartments (planning, launching, production tracking, supply, sales, personnel, etc.). Each of these can be considered as systems, given the openness of the systems. They will therefore consist of other specific components, the decomposition going up to the element, which is the structural "unity" that can no longer be broken down (the post).

The post consists of all the objects, tasks, competencies and responsibilities assigned at specific times to each component of the enterprise. Its generalization factor is the function. The function is represented by all the positions on the same organizational level, which have the same characteristics and usually have the same name. For example, the position of chief of staff corresponds to a number of 5-15 positions. In an enterprise, both positions and functions can be either management or execution.

The compartment results by aggregating positions and functions with similar and / or complementary content. It is made up of a group of people who carry out activities under a single authority.

The ensemble of persons and compartments under the direct authority of a leader that is in direct relationship with him is called hierarchical weight. The hierarchical weight can be restricted in the case of a small number of subordinates or enlarged in the opposite situation.
